Here are some pictures of the things I recently purchased for my workshop.  Included are a delta benchtop drillpress, delta 6" bench jointer, Ryobi 13" thickness planer, Wood River 16 piece Forstner bit set, bench grinder with 80 and 120 grit wheels mostly for my lathe tools, my steel city mini-lathe which stacy got me for christmas and some other things i've made recently.  I  also got a nova chuck for my lathe to be able to more easily make bowls by gripping the foot of the bowl in the chuck rather than screwing the wood onto a faceplate.  I hope you enjoy!

Here is the benchtop drill press by delta which makes a lot of things easier.

This is the 6 1/8" bench jointer by delta which is very handy since my tablesaw doesn't cut straight very well.

This is my 13" thickness planer which is great for all of the rough cherry I recently bought and/or to make a lot of sawdust in a hurry.

This bench grinder is used to tune up my tools, typically the lathe tools as they get dull on the hard wood.  It has an 80 grit wheel on the left and 120 grit wheel on the right.

This is the steel city mini-lathe Stacy bought me for christmas.  You can see the small tools i have for it in the sawdust.  They are good, but I will need to get a few more for deeper bowls and different shapes.  A good start though.  You can see the work in progress on the lathe which was a tulip that I turned for Stacy.  I need to take a picture of the final product.

This is the bowl chuck on the lathe, it opens and closes to clamp onto the foot of a bowl or other turned object.

These forstner bits are useful for making holes...like in the butterfly pattern below.

This is a quilt rack I made for someone, they wanted the butterfly effect, so I did it with the forstner bits.
This was a huge project.  It took a lot longer than I'd hoped.  It looked good in the end though and paid the bills.

My first cup, made from a piece of firewood, not sure what kind of wood it was, though it is very hard.

This is a little mushroom made from the same piece of wood, this is a typical shape used to learn how the lathe and tools work.
